Published to accompany the first comprehensive exhibition of his work in the United States, this catalogue surveys almost three decades of Raad’s practice in a variety of mediums—including photography, video, and performance—and features his most momentous bodies of work, such as his long-term projects The Atlas Group (1989–2004) and Scratching on things I could disavow (2007–ongoing). Essays by curator Eva Respini and scholar Finbarr Barry Flood place Raad’s work in the international context of contemporary artmaking, and the book includes a special eighteen-page visual contribution by Raad himself. 192 pp.; 200 illus.
