Verner Panton Tray

An otherworldly object with daily, useful function, by a designer in MoMA’s collection.

Imagine a piece of paper that’s been crumpled, gently unfolded and then rendered in mirror-polished stainless steel. That’s what you get with this elegant Panton Tray, a 1988 design from Verner Panton. Use it as a catch-all or simply display it as an artful object. The tray is also food-safe and can be used to serve snacks and canapes. Hand wash recomemnded. Both Verner Panton and the tray’s manufacturer, Georg Jensen, are represented in MoMA’s collection.
