MoMA Exclusive: Made from laser-cut aluminum, the Stitch Chair employs a nontraditional approach to folding. The chair is bisected along its hinges so that it can be folded up almost completely flat, allowing for small-footprint storage. Its vibrant color-blocking—designer Adam Goodrum’s homage to Bauhaus color palettes—makes this chair stand out in any environment. The Stitch Chair is made in Italy by Cappellini, a manufacturer with work in MoMA’s collection. Open, it measures 31h x 16w x 16.75″d with a 18.75″h seat height and a 16″d seat depth. Folded, the Stitch Chair measures 32.25h x1.25w x 17.5″d. Holds up to 225lbs in body weight.
