Crafted in Japan, one of the puzzles features a reproduction of one of Nara’s famous girl paintings, Miss Moonshine (2020). The painting depicts a young girl with her eyes closed, glistening mystically with golden hues against a dark backdrop. The variegated colors shimmering in her hair are likely an effect of the moonlight. The other puzzle, sold separately, features a reproduction of Nara’s 2006 painting The Little Star Dweller. The child depicted in the work is surrounded by glittering stars, invoking a childhood dream. Assembled, the Yoshitomo Nara Jigsaw Puzzle measures 29l x 20”w. Nara’s work is represented in MoMA’s collection.
