Barbie x MoMA Vincent van Gogh The Starry Night Collectible Doll

Mattel Creations and MoMA have brought together two icons with this Barbie doll inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s beloved painting featured in MoMA’s collection, The Starry Night (1889).

Barbie appears immersed in Van Gogh’s artwork with her windswept curls framing a yellow crescent moon. Her gown incorporates symbolic elements from the artwork—from the whirls of wind on her bodice to the tranquil village resting along the hemline. Key details amplify the theme including a single black glove that continues the impression of the cyprus tree from her dress and sculpted heels inspired by the rolling hills of the landscape. In her radiant guise, Barbie embodies the timeless beauty, wonder, and enchantment of The Starry Night, which is on display at MoMA. The Starry Night Barbie measures 13.5h x 7w x 4″d and is made from plastic and nylon.
